Rules
••••• Rules |
• Be Kind This is our first and most important rule. Treat other players with respect. Try to stay IC. Don't do anything to anyone else's character without their permission. Warn for triggering content, and don't shame others for their kinks, ships, or plots. If you have a conflict with another player, be civil and try to solve it like an adult. Players who bully, harass, or otherwise create a toxic environment are subject to warning and/or removal from the game. • Bring It To The Mods If there's a conflict that can't be worked out between the players in question, please let us know before taking it elsewhere. We're more than happy to help! We're here to mediate, or just to ensure you don't end up stuck with someone you dislike in an event. This also applies to problems you might have with the game or any of its events. If you have a concern, let us know! We'll do our best to rectify the problem in a timely manner, or find an opt-out that works for you. Even if it's "not a big deal" we will never consider it a bother to hear about any accommodation you need. That said, we can't solve any problems we don't know about. While we accept anon comments on our contact page, we will not act on anoncomm threads, or on unsubstantiated rumors. • You Must Be This Tall To Ride Project Marvelous deals with dark, violent, and potentially sexual content. Events will almost always involve violence or other "scary" or disturbing themes. While this is not a sex game and events will not focus on sex, there will sometimes be optional sexual elements in the setting or monthly plots. Due to this, players must be over 18 years of age, and characters must be over 13. We do ask that graphic sexual content on game communities be kept to characters over 16, but we won't police what you do elsewhere. Players found to lie about their age will be removed from the game. • Stay Active (and use the drop post) Activity Requirements for Project Marvelous are twenty comments across at least two and no more than four threads. Two 10-comment threads, four 5-comment threads, one 18-comment and one 2-comment thread, or any other combination are OK. Network, Log, and IC Inbox threads all count, but TDM threads do not. Activity Check will always be posted on the 1st, and AC will be processed and idles announced on the 5th. There will be no warning list. Players who idle out will be barred from re-apping for one round. Players who idle out three times will be barred from re-apping entirely. If at any point you need to take a hiatus, please comment to the hiatus/drop post. Your hiatus must be two weeks long for an AC exemption. If you didn't hiatus but can't make AC, you may take a strike. However, you'll need to make double AC the next month to avoid idling. You cannot take two strikes/hiatuses in a row. In other words, you'll need to pass AC at least every other month. Players who are taking excessive exemptions will be contacted by the mods and may have exemption privileges temporarily revoked. • Use Codes/Tags There are three posts we require in every character's journal: HMD, Permissions, and IC Inbox. You can use your own codes if you want, but we have Marvelous code templates available here. There are a few elements you have to have regardless of code, however: • HMD must be open to comments by registered users. Whether you allow anon and whether or not you screen comments is up to you. As Project Marvelous is a dark game, it's critical that all players be mature and open to communication. You must be prepared to receive crit if necessary, and willing to take any complaints politely to the player in question. • Permissions must include your character's basic info including but not limited to age and housing district. You should also include what types of content you are/are not ok with playing, and any triggering content your character will inherently deal with. It's recommended but not required to include a quick summary of their abilities and any "pings" they may give off to other characters with special senses. • IC Inbox should account for voice/video/text and include your character's M-Net username. Remember that characters can send eachother money via the direct message system, and can also block each other. When posting/commenting to the network/logs community, please use a character tag. When creating your tag, please follow the canon: name format. For example, Spock from Star Trek would have the tag star trek: spock. Please use the canon/character names as listed on the taken list, in order to conform with castmates. |
